Drug lobbyist resigns from Alberta public health panel
Albertans have said time and again they want publicly delivered health-care - Brian Mason.
A member of the Alberta government's health advisory committee has resigned after the NDP revealed she was a lobbyist for US-based pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly. Patricia Bayne, who has sat on previous government committees, was listed only as a community member. NDP leader Brian Mason says having Bayne on a committee that advises the government on the Alberta Health Act was a conflict of interest and a "deliberate attempt to mislead Albertans."
