Majority of tax cuts have benefited the corporate sector and the wealthy.

OTTAWA, May 13 — In Alice in Wonderland, there is an enduring image of the Cheshire cat which gradually fades away until only his mischievous smile remains. Prime Minister Harper must really like that image.
Thanks to the deliberate policy choices of his government, and previous Liberal governments, our federal government is fading away just as the Cheshire cat did. But unlike Lewis Carroll's fictional cat, a shrinking federal government has real life consequences.
The latest Statistics Canada analysis of the 2006 census confirms what most of us already know. There is a large and growing gap between the wealthy and the rest of us in Canada. . .
