Defend access to health care based on need: Medicare Pledge from Canadian Health Coalition

On-line initiative to demonstrate support for public insurance.

As part of its anti-privatization campaign and in anticipation of National Medicare Week, November 16th to 20th, the Canadian Health Coalition is asking people to sign the Medicare Pledge.

Given the current lack of federal leadership on health care and as well as attacks on medicare across the country we need to continue to demonstrate broad support for medicare. For example in BC, private clinics led by Dr. Brian Day have launched a court case challenging the Canada health Act and its defence of public insurance.
