Albertans distrust those running their health care - CBC poll
Professionals get higher marks than politicians and senior managers.
A recent poll of Albertans conducted for CBC by NRG Research Group shows that a majority of Albertans think the elected and administrative people in charge of the healthcare system are doing a poor job. Almost six in 10 Albertans (59 percent) rate the job that Alberta Health Services and the Government are doing in health care as poor or very poor. Similarly, 54 percent of Albertans rate the job the Minister of Health is doing as poor or very poor.
The poor ratings for the administrators of the system contrast with the comparatively high ratings for healthcare professionals (73 percent of Albertans rate the job nurses and doctors are doing as good or very good).
